Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated May 2026 · ASA/CAP compliant · Questions: use our contact form

The short version: When you click a product link on LeakedBriefs and buy something, we may earn a small commission. It costs you nothing extra. It never affects our scores, verdicts or editorial decisions. Every product on this site was purchased by us, with our own money, before any affiliate relationship existed.

What affiliate links are

Some links on LeakedBriefs are affiliate links. This means that if you click a link and then make a purchase, we receive a small commission from the retailer. The price you pay is identical whether you use our link or navigate to the retailer directly, you pay nothing extra.

Affiliate commissions help fund the cost of running this site, the products we buy for testing, the hosting, the time we spend testing and writing. Without affiliate income, an independent site like this would not be sustainable.

Our commitment to you

What we promise
  • All products are self-purchasedwe buy every product we review with our own money, from public retailers, at the price any reader would pay. No manufacturer provides products for review unless explicitly disclosed and clearly labelled.
  • Affiliate relationships never influence scoresour scores and verdicts are based entirely on our testing. A product we can earn a commission on is scored identically to one we cannot.
  • We recommend products we actually usewe do not link to products we would not buy ourselves. If a product scores poorly, we say so, even if we earn a commission when readers buy it.
  • Press samples are always disclosedif a manufacturer provides a product for review, this is stated clearly at the top of the review. It is rare. It does not affect our scoring.
  • We link to the best retailer for each productnot the one that pays the highest commission. If a product is cheaper or better served elsewhere, we say so.

Affiliate programmes we use

We do not accept payment for positive reviews, sponsored placement in rankings, or any form of paid editorial coverage. If this ever changes, it will be disclosed clearly and prominently.

ASA and CAP compliance

We comply with the UK Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) and Committee of Advertising Practice (CAP) guidelines on affiliate marketing and native advertising. Affiliate links are not individually labelled on every instance, this page constitutes our standing disclosure, consistent with CAP guidance for editorial review sites.

Posts that are materially different in nature, for example, a sponsored guide paid for by a manufacturer, will be labelled clearly as "Sponsored" or "Paid partnership" at the top of the content.
